About the new subscription model
Modmath will always maintain a free version of the app in support of our mission: to provide assistive technology to differently-abled people all around the world so that everyone can write and solve math equations. We are also introducing a subscription model that will open up access to all keypad symbols. The new subscription model will provide the necessary revenue to allow us to make ongoing and much more frequent improvements, run efficacy studies, and reach more kids around the world who could benefit from Modmath. Many of the added features and functionality on the keypads will only be available with a subscription, which will cost $1.99 per month, or $14.99 per year. There will be a 7 day free trial available so that you can check it out and see if it works for you before purchasing a subscription. If you want to use Modmath Plus's features, you must purchase a subscription. Your legacy Modmath Pro license will not apply to the new Modmath Plus.
Modmath Legacy (version 2.6)
Once we release the new Modmath Plus, legacy versions of Modmath and Modmath Pro (version 2.6) will no longer be supported. What does this mean?
- In order to further our mission of ensuring everyone around the world can write and solve math problems, it was necessary for us to release a brand new (instead of an updated) version of Modmath. You can try the new version today for Chromebook and Android (coming soon) and iPad (coming soon) by downloading the new versions from the Google Play and Apple App stores.
- As of today, you will no longer be able to share worksheets.
- In April 2025, legacy versions of Modmath will be removed from the App Store.
We will continue to share more information in the coming weeks as we get close to the launch date.
All the best,
The Modmath Team
