Modmath 4.0 has two tools for working with existing content on the canvas: the Select tool for moving and operating on cells, and the Select Import tool for working with imported photos/files.
Selecting Cells
- In the toolbar, select the Select tool (the dotted line/cursor icon).
- Click a single cell to select it. A selection outline appears.
- Drag across multiple cells to select a group. All cells within the drag area are selected.
Selected cells are highlighted with a blue border.
Moving Cells
With one or more cells selected in the Select tool:
- Drag any selected cell(s) to move the entire selection to a new position on the canvas.
- The cells will snap into place once released.
Actions on Selected Cells
With cells selected, you can:
-
Erase — Click the Erase Cells tool
in the toolbar to clear the contents of all selected cells at once.
- Move — Drag to reposition.
To deselect, click an empty area of the canvas.
Working with Images
Imported images (from file, camera, or Google Drive) are placed on the canvas using the Import Assignments tool.
To manipulate an image:
- Select the Select Imports tool
in the toolbar.
- Click the image/ imported file to select it.
- Use the blue handles
to resize or the rotate handle
(on the side toolbar) to rotate the image.
- Drag the image to move it anywhere on the canvas.
- Use Clone image to duplicate the image/ imported
- Use the crop tool to crop the image if needed.
Images stay on the canvas independently of cells. Cells can be placed on top of images for overlay work (use the Send to Back tool on the side toolbar of the selected image) — useful when completing imported printed worksheets.
Deleting an Import
With the image or file selected using the Select Imports tool, click the Delete button that appears in the side toolbar of the import.
