The line tool is a feature that allows you to add lines to cells and gridlines within your Workbook. You can use the line tool to cross out numbers when you are borrowing and carrying, or to underline an equation. The line tool can be used to create horizontal, vertical, or diagonal lines. In this article, we’ll guide you through the simple steps to create, edit, and delete lines.

How do I create a line?
To create a line:
- Open your Workbook.
- In the Toolbar, tap or click the line tool (line icon with two points on either end).
- Tap (or click) the cell where you want to place the line. The line will default to the top of the selected cell.
- To extend the line, drag either point to your desired location. The line endpoints will snap to the intersection of the closest gridlines.
- When you are finished, tap (or click) anywhere outside the line.
How do I edit a line?
To edit a line:
- Tap (or click) the select tool, then tap (or click) “Select Objects” from the dropdown menu.
- Tap (or click) the line you would like to edit.
- To shorten or extend the line, drag either point to your desired location.
- When you are finished, tap (or click) anywhere outside the line.
How do I delete a line?
To delete a line:
- Tap (or click) the select tool, then tap (or click) “Select Objects” from the dropdown menu.
- Tap (or click) and hold the line you want to delete.
- Tap (or click) the delete option that appears after selecting the line.
- Tap (or click) the "Delete" option to confirm the action.
